  • Separate bowl for dry ingredients
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer optional, but helpful
  • Parchment Paper or Silicone Baking Mat
  • baking sheet
  • Cookie scoop optional
  • Spatula
  • Wire rack for cooling

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter 226g, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar 200g
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar 100g
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour 350g
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups crushed Oreos 200g about 18-20 cookies

Optional

  • ½ cup white chocolate chips 90g

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated. Mix in the vanilla extract.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 3: Fold in the Oreos

  • Gently fold in the crushed Oreos (and white chocolate chips, if using) using a spatula. Ensure the pieces are evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Step 4 : Shape the Cookies

  • Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  • Lightly press down on each dough ball to slightly flatten it.

Step 5: Bake

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
